HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

Well im new to skinning and when i try and get the bitmaps from the bitm and error comes up. I think i know why this is. I don't have mainmenu.map and hte two other .map files. I was just wondering where i could find these files.


*Note: Im only skinning weapon and map textures. Don't know if there are other skinnable objects, so im saying this just to prevent confusion.

First off, what program are you using to extract the bitmaps? From what I've heard, C2HR or CH2R, whatever it is, is best for that. Also, what error comes up?

The three .maps (single_player_shared.map, mainmenu.map, and the other one) are all found in the maps folder on your Halo 2 disc. So just FTP them from there.

Im using ADI, the tutorial from xxANTMANxx's mod pack said that was what to use, but ill try CH2R. The error states that i can't find mainmenu.map from the directory im using.

Alright, then you'll need to rip the map files off of the CD if you want to do anything.
