well to start off if you wanted the energy from the sword to dissapear you'd prolly have to put the energy_sword_useless on the map

i opend the .weap in CH2r and stuffed around with no luck, because it seems that it dosent have a clip, i checked with SP and everything was the same in SP, so theres something i cant see here that does it.

Same here i opened in that program and i did a quick check in insolence at the weap tag not hlmt tho, all i saw was still the energy_sword_useless

i opend energy_blade.weap, i saw energy_blade_useless.weap, but i didnt bother opening it, as i figured thats the wewapon when it runs out of go.

im guessing it might be a case of spot the differences in insolence with the Sp verson.

:::edit:::
i looked at the .hlmt in insolence, and compared it to a SP map and i coundent find any differences...

i just looked thru .Weap in Insolence and no luck, i couldent find any differences with the Sp or MP versions, they both seem to be the same, so the thing that makes it have limated ammo must be somewhere else... and that leaves me stumped.

There's an extra reflexive in the swords [weap] tag, I believe it is nested but can't remember off the top of my head ;x

You wouldn't find a clip because it's an energy weapon ;). Just like the P.P is an energy weapon. If it isn't a variation, try to figure out how to give it age (the thing that lowers battery charge) whenever you swing.

Or, actually, try dragging the sword from an SP map. If it still has unlimited ammo, then it's like the banshee bomb in MP - everything's the same, just won't happen.

thanks, will try to import from SP. I'm just trying to use this in a mod I'm making so the sword isn't a weapon you can pwn with for long time

i couldent find the age box in CH2R, like i know where it is, but i couldent enter anything in it, because it had no clip or something retarded along those lines.

Yea, it has no projectile. It might be possible to do it somehow else though

I'm going to guess that there's no difference between the sp and mp swords, just like there's no difference between banshees. There's something... else... that disables it. Something in the game itself.

That's what my thoughts were, if there weren't any differences. The engine says 'mp, unlimited, sp, limited' for swords, and 'mp, no bomb, sp, bomb' for banshees. Actually... I just had a wonderful idea for adding bombs to mp banshees, I'll have to go test it out, make sure it's not impossible.

The bomb itself is not disabled. The 'B' button attached to the weap is.
