help me with IP

i know how to soft mod, ive done it successfully before and everything but for some reason now when i get to linux in splinter cell i get the IP and leave it on that screen that has the IP while i try and fxp/ftp it. i tryed it with flashfxp and wouldnt connect, nothings wrong with my router or anything. the wierd thing is that this xbox is the xbox i modded before the first time. i just unmodded it. i tryed other fxp/ftp programs but nothing. why is this? any help would be great!
