ok i tryed searching for this on good and these furoms but couldnt find my answer

when i edit deltatap (not tried other maps) in dothalo,fix encryption, use CMR and then put it on my xbox some of the progectile swaps have messed up like my smg is fireing wot i changed my shotty to do, and it has same noise as shotty too

On topic. Please explain exactly what you have done before you FTPed the map over you say

what is CMR, Just fix envryption then FTP over to your xbox when your done editing.

cmr= coolspots map resigner (fixes sig for dlc maps)

CMR is a encryption fixer. I belive if you are using dot halo, and you are done editing your map once you close the map dothalo autmatically fixes the encyption.

I am not sure why exactly the projectiles arent going to the right guns, Maybe you could have made a mistake when editing. Is your xbox PAL? That might be the problem, but once agian I am really nor sure.

sorry about the lack of grammer and spelling in first post was rushing cause my mom was stressing at me. well anyway yes my xbox is pal i went over all my editing and it looked fine any more sugestions and also my shotgun freezes the game

Hmm ok The pal xbox may be the problem. Take a nice new coagulation.map or any other map then the one you are trying to mod right now and try just swapping around a few projectiles, like a smg shoots out banshee bombs, and a shotgun shoots out plasm rifle projectile. do that and tell me what happens.

ok the other maps the only thing that happened was that my halo froze
(y is halo 2 so much harder to mod that halo pc)

So CMR is for dlc maps, right? After you've resigned them, are you adding them to your maps menu, or are you putting them in the dlc folders? 'Cuz if you're just adding them to the mainmenu you can use any old resigner; you don't need cmr.

Yeah, when i got all the DL maps (by way of a mate sending copy of the disc) i had to use CMR.exe to resign the new maps, as far as im aware it only works with the new DL maps (Containment, Warlock, Sanctuary, Turf, Backwash, Elongation, Gemini, Relic and terminal) for all the orignal maps, just use Dothalo's or a normal Encryptomatic signer.

Also, I'm not positive, but I think we might not be allowed to talk about CMR here, since it could potentially be used for XBL cheating.

Bah, i found it in the Files forum, so if ya not alowed to talk bout it, why are we allowed to download it?

Oh. Nvm then. Must've been something else that we weren't supposed to talk about. Hard to keep track. The rules here are pretty strict. Not saying it's a bad thing; hacking is always a grey area and you want to be careful not to stray into anything that would piss off Bungie.

i have only got soft mod and cant get online( dont have broadband) so dont cheat i just have fun mods and i cant make my own properly cause they keep messing up like freezing or swaps mess up all i use its dothalo and cmr

DotHalo will resign a map when you close it. Try using that and not using cmr.

Yeah, CMR is ONLY for the download maps, nothing else, so dont use it, its unrequired for you.

i only mod downloaded maps cause i bought the map pack and havent go halo on my harddrive

ah, then you have to use CMR as the download maps dont sign encryptomaticly.

now the way i Proj swap, (try this) in dothalo go to the [weap] tag, find the weapon you want to swap's projectile (say battle rifle) then swap the Dependancy of its Proj to a diff one, close Resign with CMR and it should work. (also dont forget to delete cashe)

its not the problem, i have a Pal xbox and theres no diff between Halo 2 NTSC or PAL. so thats not causing the problem.

ok still hasent worked tried just changing one that worked, os changed two and tried puttin fully auto BR and the swpas messed up and game froze wen picked up br

ok its something to do with my comp cause i went round to mates house who also mods made same mod and saved as ppf and he sent to me over msn and it worked fine

ok i found problem i only had .net framework 2 beta, so i uninstalled and installed proper one and so ffar its worked fine
