HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

I need to know how to get maps from the Halo disc. Like, how to get the "old" maps. I have to do something with the D drive or something, but Im not sure how. So can someone please tell me how, or help me do it?

Get to your dash. Connect ftp. Put in your disc and wait for the light to stop flashing. In your FTP client, go to the D folder -> maps. Those are the campaign and regular map files. Transfer them over and mod them as you like. (Be sure to grab Single_player_shared, shared, and mainmenu, and put the rest of the maps in that same folder...believe me you won't want to do it later.)

Why not? This is Xbox Modding General? Where else would I be able to put it?

Ok, I got the maps. Now the reason why I wanted them was so I could remodel weapons. But something on Darkmatter is still saying I dont have it. I shared.map in a new folder.

Also, when I try to transfer an old map or single player map, it says, 1 filed failed to transfer, or something, why cant I transfer old maps?

Transfer it to where? Your pc? Tell exactly what you're doing, what proggie you're using and the exact wording of the error.

Well, Im trying to get old maps onto my computer so i can MOD THEM!!

Now, I got the old maps and single player maps, but I need to transfer a map i just modded to my xbox, its Anscension.map, Im transfering it on FlashFXP on the D drive. But, when I try to transfer, it says at the bottem, "1 file failed to transfer". Wtf.

At the top of FlashFXP type in /D in the box when the game is in the disk tray, and you are at your dashboard. If you need more help just PM me or get on AIM or MSN and talk to me on there. I will be glad to help.

I know that, I got all the maps, and modded them, I just need to transfer but it wont let me.

You cant transfer onto a Xbox disc. Thats why. Anyone with a 5th grade education would know that. Sorry bud, you gotta go download halo.

What? Are we even on the same page? I need to ftp the modded maps to my xbox...but its saying 1 file failed to transfer. I can ftp new maps, Ive modded them hundreds of times, I just found out how to do the old maps, but I cant transfer them.

Go E -> Games and make a halo 2 folder. Put in default.xbe all the other xbe's. Make a maps folder. Put all of the maps you want in there. (You need manimenu and shared!)

Where do i get default.xbe at? I think ive got it though.

Ok, what? Explain to me a little more what I am supposed to do. To actually get the modded single player maps on my xbox...just the whole process. Plz.

Get to your modded dash with the disc in. Connect Ftp. Go to the D folder. On your desktop make a fodler called Halo 2. In that folder make another one called maps. Now X out. Now go to your ftp thing and transfer all the .xbe's to your halo 2 folder on your desktop. Now open your maps folder in the halo 2 folder. Put in there Single_player_shared, shared, and mainmenu. Than you can put whatever other maps you want. Have fun.

Ok, let me get this straight.

Im trying to get a modded map onto my xbox by FTP, but, it says 1file failed to transfer, Im transfering it on /D drive, which is the dashboard, i think. If thats not the right place to transf. then where? Where would I transfer the modded sinlge player map and an Ascension map?
