hey i have a quick question, i cant softmod my xbox but i can still ftp to it, and i want to know if i can apply old maps ppfs to old maps and change them to new maps(changing the name and sig) and play them, cuz i cant get halo 2 on my hd as i cant actually use a softmod




oh and i want to know if i put my halo 2 in my computer can i get the stuff off there? if so tell me (probably not)

1st question. Yes, you can give it a new scenario name and sig and then replace the new maps to use them.

2nd question, No, when you put h2 in ur comp all it shows is a video that is on the disc.

well im not sure if this counts as warez or anything illegal but if it is just tell me and delete my post, but please dont ban me but can some1 give me there old maps? all of them

Yea, it's illegal to ask for copywrited material.

but i already have halo but i cant mod my xbox infact i have 6 boxes that say halo on it including 2 halo 2s so would it really matter? is that y yur supposed to post ppfs not .maps, or what?

Yea, because ppf's arent made by bungie and you can't extract copyright material such as models skins etc... from them. I'd check ur pm's if I were you.

if you have 6 xboxs.... why cant you mod one? hmn?

He might not have the correct disk to apply a softmod. Or maybe he doesn't have a modchip or can't afford one at the current time.

and might i ask, how is he ftping to the boxes hmn?

cuz i have splinter cell and the installer,and when i go itno my installer i can see my Ip address so i can put it in the smartftp client

so y cant u softmod it?

cuz when i previously softmodded it i broke it so i then my dad got the HD out of it and put a new one in and replaced the disk drive it works but i cant mod it for some reason, i think the 2 different versions of parts might be the problem cuz when i try to softmod i backup then i install softmod then i try to install 1 of the 2 dashboards it gives me and i reset my xbox so that the changes are effective but when i reboot into the dash i get the regular ms dash

you replaced your harddrive.. that isnt possible without a working mod and no offense but i dont think your dads would know how unless he is a hardware engineer

my dad has this old xbox that had a disktray that didnt work
i had an xbox which had a harddrive that didnt work but had a working disk drive so my dad swapped the 2 so now we have 1 workin xbox and everytime i try to install the softmod it just has the old ms dash not the modded dash

Actually it is perfectly possible if he dosen't have a working mod =P . People these days don't know squat about modding a xbox . Also his dad being a Hardware engineer would help much either...

y is working in bold? and i do know how to chage a hard drive and you need the eeprom or the unlock code which you can only get with a modded xbox

no need 4 a pic its just a wast of space if you know another way please share your wisdom of great xbox modder

Well if you have ever softmoded your xbox or was going to you may know that you can back up your eeprom and ftp it to your computer before you even start to install any softmod files. So you never nessisarly need to mod your xbox. Once you have your xbox eeprom you can do alot =P , I don't have a softmod anymore becasue they are stink so I installed a chip instead =P .

But once I had my eeprom I tookmy 250 gig maxtor and reformated it so it was like a stock xbox drive, But of course I use it now to store my games, music and movies ;x .

it's simple use evox to DL halo 2 to your harddrive then you may access it via FTP. ie: Extract jackel map from a_50 and put it into turf.map.
