vehicle transportation?

I was looking around in insolence, and I notice the pelican (and phantom, but I haven't got it working yet) have seats for large cargo, small cargo, etc. I was wondering if anyone knew how to put, say, a warthog into that seat, and if there was any way to unlatch it. Long stretch, but it would be awesome. Thanks.

I'm out of my depth at far as the how to, but you could possibly rig the attached vehicle the same way that a break away part of a vehicle is rigged (like the wing tips of a banshee that can be shot off). Then when you fire the vehicle, it spawns a real vehicle and the attached one breaks off... but with no garbage part assigned to it, it should just disappear, giving the illusion that you just dropped the warthog from the pelican. Unfortunately, an illusion is all it will be... meaning you won't be able to have any passengers in it before it drops (they would just fall and probably get squashed by the spawned hog), and there wouldn't be a way to pick vehicles up either.
As far as making a vehicle actually pick up another, I have the first bit of a theory, but I don't know how to proceed. If you look under the phmo on a scarab and start clicking around in the unknowns (I'm talking about in insolence) you'll find something called a banshee dock. It is my theory that there is something on or in the scarab that will actually hold a banshee, though it is likely it got disabled in the final game, either because it didn't work properly or they decided they didn't need it. I've never looked into the phmo of a pelican, so you might try looking there (since it obviously WAS used in the game).

I see what you're saying. unfortunately, i wouldn't know how to rig up the piece to the seat, nor make the trigger break off the piece. If anyone knows how to do that, please help me out.
Obviously the pelican does not have the warthog attached to it from the get-go; that would allow us to import the pelican from delta halo and have a warthog attached to it. What we need is someone to look around in the spawns and scripted actions of ai in delta halo or mombosa to see exactly how the programmers did it. Way out of my league.

Another thing you might look into is how a sentinel aggresor can pick up a vehicle, since that's something that happens dynamically in the game, instead of being a predetermined script.

The banshee dock is ingame. On the last level, if you park a banshee ontop it stays there by some magical force- you can see when the scarab walks, the banshee moves out of place, then gets pulled back where it was...

Guess I'll have to try that again. I'd done it before, but had thought it was just resting on top, not actually being held there.
