Impossible to pose a model?
Impossible to pose a model?
So is it actually impossible to pose a model in game? I see mods with doppelgangers, but the arms stick straight out and he stands straight up. Is it not possible to pose him, so he looks like he's an actual character? Or the scarab: bend it's legs so it's closer to the ground, or leaning forward or crouching all the way down? It can't really be THAT difficult, can it?
try changing the animation graph

Sorry if I'm being stupid here, buy I don't know what that means. Xzodia, if you haven't figured it out yet, the actual objective here is to fold up the scarab's legs under it's body, since I can't seem to remove their collision.
[edit] So I guess that's the jmad tag, huh? Um... I can't make any sense of it. Seems that there's references for each part of the model, that repeat at various offsets (I'm guessing these are positions for those parts to be in during animation) under the String Indices tag (using adi, btw). I guess I'll check some other progs and see if I can find something.
[edit #2] I'm checking out all kinds of stuff under jmad in insolence now. I'm thinking, though, that just editing the animation graph (assuming I could even figure out how to do it) might not be enough. See, if you spawn a poltergheist, he stands all rigid, like not even in the idle pose, but if you kill him, he does perform the death animation. So I'm thinking that even if I could figure out how to edit the scarab's idle anim, it wouldn't actually have an effect. Perhaps, however, it could be given an animation for d_enter, where the legs fold up under it. To do that, however, I'd have to be able to figure out what all those freakin' random seeming numbers are.
