I recently posted this(But in the wrong forum  )
joeschmoe wrote:Well i just transitioned over to skinning halo 2 from modding halo 2 and its harder than i thought it would be. The thing i am having the most trouble with is making walls clear. I don't want them to be completely clear, but translucent. if anyone could give me a couple of tips, over some cool .dds files that would be great. Thanks in advance!
... If you could help me that would be greatly appreciated :)

No im not looking for something like active camo... i tried shader swaps. I do know that its possible though because i have seen multiple mods (ex. Invisible ship and Fun Terminal) that have translucent walls and/or floors

I was actually wondering about this too. I wanted to set up some big... screens, if you will... in a map that had no collision (I mean the screens have no collision--of course the map still does), but were translucent. Was gonna' make them more translucent on one side than the other. It was to be a deterrent for camping... if you stayed on your side with all the goodies, the other team would have an easier time seeing you than you could see them, so you'd have to go out and fight.

i just attempted making a new file, so it was white, then i put a translucent color filter over it, but no luck, it just looked like a bad paint job... lol
