Ok i want to import that thing that when you step on it, it shoots you across(energy beam rider) into zanzibar. After i do this and replace it with a mach, will it work?

What i want to do is step on it in my new map and it will shoot me across it(like it did in the original map)

Best bet if you don't know for sure is just try it and see. Unless you're wanting to know how to do it. Might wanna' make a backup of your map first, though.

i dont know if it will work as a Bloc or Scen tag it has to be a machine or it wont work

Right, but when you transfer a mach to a map, don't you have to add it to scen and stuff too? Like when you put in a scarab. Granted, that's a nonfunctional mach in mp, but isn't the theory still the same?
Or rather, when someone makes a mod to add in the elevator from Ivory Tower (it's a mach) how do they go about actually placing it in the level? Is it through scen?

in the "scnr" tag you can set its spawn points (coord's X,Y,Z)

So there you have it Wayworm. Try that and see what happens. If it works, you should report back--that thing might work kinda' cool in a map I'm thinking about doing.

forgot to add you need a coord finder (teamhlo) to find the spawn coords and its under the Machine placement in the scnr tag

Update: ok, i am still testing but this is what I found...if you replace a mach with another mach from outside of the map, it will still move if that is what it is programed to do(i did not find that thing that i was talking about) Grenades(and i think bullets) have no collision with the some of the mach's and the some mach and ground do not have collison(but bipeds dont walk though it) I am not yet finished testing though so i will report back later. I still have yet to test if something that moves you(like a gravlift) works but i am sure it would.
BTW: does anybody have every mvf file for the coord finder?

You're saying you have to replace a mach with the new one or the new one won't function? Like you couldn't take the spinny thing from zanzi to a map without a mach and have it work?

All i am saying is that the mach will do what it is programed to do if you replace a mach with a mach. I havent tested an itmc or bloc.

Ah. That would seem to have something to do with the scenario, right? Like the scenario is going to have instructions telling it to activate the mach (which has it's own instructions, I presume). A map without a mach won't have instructions to activate it. Correct?

Um yeah I guess, but someone needs to test and see if the mach works when u replace it with a bloc, itmc, or vehc

It won't work with itmc or bloc. You need to replace it with an existing mach chunk, or add a new one.
