character mods

could some one give me a character mod to where i can be a grunt on turf? and maybe could u have a scarab on to it also,
i woudl make it my self but my mom wont let me download anymore programs

Just download them and hide them somewhere on your C:/ drive, its not like u have to install these programs

ok cool, also. do i have to have my box hardmodded or can it be soft?
or doess my h2 have to be on my hardrive?

your xbox can be softmodded or hardmodded(no difference)... and yes u need halo2 on your hd

ah it dont matter now on account im getting an error when i try to connect to xbox live

u only get banned from MM :\
i just cant get onto the internet through my xbox and im thinking the port is broke but idk

Where does everyone get the idea that you only get banned from MM?
As soon as you log on with mods you are put on a list, and at intervals, the Xbox Live server parses this list and banns the xboxes on it!
The port isn't broken you have to set your settings.

First go into your internet settings on your dashboard. Set it to DHCCP. Restart. If that doesnt work try static and put the values in.

Yes, if you sign onto xbl with mods on it bans your eeprom and hard drive ID and such, but please no more talk of xbox modding, keep it to fun halo 2 modding please.

its not that hard all you have to do is use insolence and take say the ODST form delta approach and put it into say turf then null out some of the dependancies in the hlmt tag for the odst then do a little more editing
just look for a tutorial on it. or if u want contact me on msn
but if ur gonna use it on live dont bother

im not using character mods on live, im only using proj swaps on live -_-
but idk how to get the SP maps

DONT MOD ON LIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!! DONT EVEN HAVE A MOD ON YOUR XBOX WHEN GOING ON LIVE!!!!!
it will ban you. believe me. I justmoded my xbox yesterday. I accidentally clicked connect, and my live account was banned. EXACTLY 26.2 hours after I got it.

Actually having a softmod will not ban your xbox, If your box is tsop flashed, or chipped, or If you edit any halo 2 content items, it will ban you.
EDIT: And how the heck did you calculate 26.2 hours?

my one xbox was banned the instant it connected to live, i didnt use my account to sign on though so it only banned my xbox.i was try to get the mods off and hit connect in the configure thing on msdash, lol. needless to say i have two xboxes after that.

ok, well im not banned.
i can still get on and play with friends on custom games, which is why i modded my xbox in the first place.
but back on this old topic....
i have my halo 2 on my harddrive, i have attempted to make my own character mods and have failed numerous times and i am a total newb
