Hmmm, i know nothing about that, i think Snaku would be able to awnser that......


I have also updated the RAAF (Royal Australian Air Force) skin of the X-17 Raptor... (i even put the X-17 Tags on it)

Edit: Ok I went to the smg in insolence anf changed the first person offset X to 3 and there is nothing different :cry: . I tryed changing it to 5 and still nothing when I fire.

Changing X should've made the proj fire from further back. Y would move it sideways, and Z up and down. There didn't seem to be rotation.
So, what I would try is swapping the hog's turret for a turret we know can be controlled by the driver. First you should try changing the seat in the hog's turret to whatever the scorpion turret has as its seat and see if that gives you control, but I dunno if that works. If that doesn't work, on to plan B: giving it a tank turret. Go to the hog's hlmt--variation (leave it on 0, which is default)--unknown 1--dependencies. This will bring up the vehicle for the turret (which is its own vehicle, btw-that's for anybody reading who doesn't already know, not necessarily for you, Doom). Swap it for the tank turret. Then rotate and reposition the marker--you know the rest. Go to the weap tag for the turret and make the necessary changes (RoF--all that--give it your smg proj you made or just make a new one--or even just replace its weap with your smg. Better yet, keep the turret's weap, null out the first proj, and change the second one to your force one. That way you can keep the primary trigger for another weapon which you can attach to the horn.)

Well I didn't get the tank turret thing to work yet because I have it firing to high, but when I set my primary weapon for the hog (the horn) to a rocket, I would go off a jump and fire and then :P

I would go fliping forward really strong for somereason and go 2-4 times the normal distance. However there is a catch :P . If you are running around chasing a ghost or some other vehicle or person and you fire the rocket your warthog will kind of jump up and do a spin and you mostlikely will not land back on your tires. So it works great for jumps but not to good to use on ground which is good. The tank turret is fun though =D , If I fire the machine gun with L I can point it at people and shoot so they can't get close to me in my hog, due to the force added.

I will edit this post once I fix the tank turret.

Edit: well some bad news =P. I found out you can't shoot your vehicle with your turret :cry: . After trying several different hights for the proj spawn I found that the bulltes go right through my hog :( .

I am tweaking something else right now to see if it can help =D.

No. You're not trying to hit yourself. You're trying to make an actual booster, just like when people turn the sentinel beam into a jetpack. You want to turn the turret (or whatever you're using) around so it points backward. It seems to me that these force-related boostings only work when something isn't touching the ground, though. Like, in Moon Base, you have to jump before you fire your sentinel beam at the ground and then it lifts you. Also they had plasma 'nades that'd launch you all kinds of ridiculously high, but you had to be in the air when they went off or nothing. They'd also set it so the vehicles responded more to force, but again, it only applied to the ghost and banshee, since they're off the ground.

AHA! I knew I was doing something wrong then. I was trying to hit myself with a smg projectile that I had uped the force on which would hit me and make me go forwards :P . I will try what you said just now about the sentinal beam. I know about how people make jetpacks and stuff out of them, I have played moon stronghold before :P . Ok I am going to try to fix this now and set the setninal beam to fire the oppisite way of which I am going IF I can because I don't want to be turning around in mid air to fire this back wards.

You should've hexxed it so that it says Hold X to Pilot Raptor :P. That is pretty sweet, though.

well i got this app for changing text, Alius Bos V1.1, but it glitches on that map, BUT if i open a stock Coag, it works fine, (i should have changed the text before i injected the LS) bah, dosent matter anyways. (im working on a few more textures also)

You could use Alius Bos, yea, but just hex it. Search for the string "to drive Warthog" and then just change it (don't use backspace though, that messes stuff up. Just use space)

the Raptor design is Snaku's and if he says yea then expect a .SPPF (only one problem, i signed up for a Files Forum account a while back, and its still not activated)

Dude, I've already given you a green light on whatever you want to do with it. I am totally not selfish with my discoveries and honestly, I didn't do THAT much here. Most of it was just reading your posts and going "Hmm..." then experimenting. Like, I discovered breaking off bones and stuff, but it was your idea to make a flight hog. Then it was your idea to add wings--all I did was slap on a longsword instead of going for a remodel. If anything, I should be asking your permission to use the thing.
Oh, and hexxing the name is really easy. Like, I was terrified to even touch hex, and I kept looking for the program that would make it easy to change names... couldn't find it. Finally broke down and hexed. It was nothing. I use a proggie called hex workshop, but I can't remember where I found it.
