I figured out the problem with the "Object not set to reference of object" error right after the sound_mix.

1.Reinstall .NET Framework 2.0

2.Decompile fresh map copy.

And now it works! :D Except it takes 9 hours, and Halo is giving me a black screen...

For some of you who have had the "non-negative" number error in Entity, just try it again a few times and then rebuild again if you have to.

Edit: You say something about transfer over deathzones as one way to fixe the black screen. Beavercreek doesn't have any deathzones. Are they nessecary?

Black screen is usually caused by the lsnd in the SBSP tag. Null those out and try again.

I figured it had to be that after I spawned away from the city and didn't freeze. Turns out that first spawn was caught out in the middle of nowhere. I removed some of the SBSP's sounds because I thought they were in sections I didn't need. And my sound environments were set on beaver creek areas.

Now I can get it to spawn at Hotel Zanzibar, with working sounds, except I've met freezing in a few spots and Yelo always black screens me. I would just null out every sound, but it would be nicer to have them.

Looks like I'll need to add chunks to the snde.

when you decompile the BSP make sure to decompile the lightmap(ltmp) that has the same name
then when u open ur scenario tag in guerilla make sure to change the bsp tag to the bsp u decompiled and change the lightmap too
then rebuild
and it should be refferanced correctly
just like the tutorial said

Well, I am posotive it is correct. I checked again in H2G to be sure. Its still giving me "Non-negative number required. Parameter name: value." =(

o that happened to me, It happened when I used the add button. I just fixed it by copying the chunk then inserting, and it worked, it gave me that error when adding bipds though, so it might not fix ur problem

Ahhh! This is soo annoying! I've tried differant BSP's and differant base maps and none of them are working! WTF is wrong with it?

any chance sum1 else can make 06b_floodzone_sen_hq_bsp_6 for me? Cus, theres something wrong with my setup and I can't find out what.

Does this tool make SLC mods? (I know I'll need to run it through Entity's fixer or fix it myself, but...) Will the mods be able to work in system link? I heard a lot of people having problems of the other xboxs not connecting at all.

wow this is annoying. I've tried many times to get the first BSP from sacred icon in MP and then eventually gave up. So now im trying to get 03b_newmombasa/earthcity_4 and that wont work either. I know that BSP works because i saw someone else using the first part of it. I am following the tutorial exactly and now have it memorized. Some things i noticed is broken idents EVERYWHERE whether i build anything into it or not and my MP map size with the new BSP in it only goes up by maybe 5MB. I havent tried all of my attempts to get this to work on my xbox but the BSP is pretty much useless to me if i cant look in the BSP viewer. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

I think it auto-adds syslink breaking tags that are built into the map to the predicted resources tag when it builds, just like how it fixes BSP magic and size automagically.

The only thing I noticed is that with rebuilt maps, I can't add chunks(overwriting existing chunks works fine) to certain reflexives using entity, without killing the map(freeze at countdown).

yeah same here I think they should add something like 200 extra chunks, like maps have 99.

prob because different reflexives are mapped out, you should try mapping some out :P

Agent Me;

Ive made newmombassa_earth_city_4 onto headlong and given sppf to 2 friends, and they have no problem joining my game. we are finding that some base maps work and some dont. my problem now is the objectives.

now we're suposed to make the final patch a serenity, (checkmark in non-compliant), but i cant get those to work. some guys can get it to work. so i dont know about that part.

i can't get the serenity patches to work, yes I click non-complient. it patches and make my map 100% all tags and every thing, just when I got to play it on the box it just gives me ablack screen.

So that means I won't be able to make the tags I added after rebuilding SLC? :?
Halo 3 ruined everything..
