It's more efficient and beneficial to the community to ask and answer questions publicly, rather than by PM and instant messaging.

The purpose of this is to create a relationship with modders that are very active in the community. It gives us all a sense of fellowship because as of yesterday I only knew 2 guys that modded halo 2. I mod so others can play my mods and for for pure enjoyment. However, if people aren't going to play what I spend up to 4 months making, than what is the point of making it besides fun. This group is basically the the last stand of halo 2 modding. Sense I know tons of guys who gave it up and sold their modded xboxes, I can't ask them to help me test or play a mod. Their response to all of my questions involves something like, "Man, I haven't modded in months so I have no clue," or "Dude, I sold my box 4 months ago and deleted all of my programs." You may say it would be easier to post questions on the forums but when there are only a select few out of 82,558 that want to continue modding Halo 2, it is very very helpful to know their names so you can band together. When I was modding back in early 2005, the only thing that kept me modding was the friends and the influences they had on me. Team DeFiance made me want to keep modding and so I did. As of yesterday, I had no motivation to mod because looking at my recent mods, no one was playing them. Even if only "active" Halo 2 modders played my mods; that gives me a motivation and the sense of desire to keep modding. To know that I have contact to the few "active" modders that can give me legitimate help on the spot relieves a lot of modding stress. Waiting for a reply from a thread made in the "Modding Discussion" is a pain in the ass because most of the time I only post very important questions that my mods depend on. I am also not saying we will not post on the "Modding Discussion." I feel a desire to mod when I know I have helpful friends that can fix most problems and play the mods I spend weeks on. Remnant. We are the last stand.

I have two that I am shuffling in between and will need a good Arwing flying effect. Anyone here good with effects? :P

This is where I look back at the list and ask the individuals who knows about effects. Otherwise, I would be asking only a select few on my AIM list that don't mod anymore. The list is excellent! :)

if any one wants to know how to relly customize your bsp hit me up, im not talking about custom geometry i mean i can give you a blank bsp about the size of beavercreek and show you how to customize it beond belife water trees grass everyhting.

Pirate Mod will take ages without help and so that will prolly be the most difficult mod I have ever made. The StarFox mod should be hella fun and so I want to do that one first. :P

I have a Fox Mccloud blaster without a skin. I am thinking about only like 3 weapons for the Star Fox mod and around 5-7 diffferent aircrafts. I have all the models and bitmaps for the aircrafts. The next thing would be the sounds :( That will be hard. (Making/download aircraft sounds)

We could easily add AI to the star fox mod, seeing as Air-based vehicles work, and then just add a zone just incase. The only thing is that sometimes custom vehicles cause the AI to not shot ever, or only shoot the primary weapon. If I can find someone that knows anything about the AI Encounters and how to basically re-program them to an extent we could have a really great mod going.

I didn't see this till now but I'm certainly in! You guys have only seen one mod of mine but that is because I joined quite late in the modding but I know how things work now and the whole shebang. I'll take a look into the effect for the arwing, i've had to work with a good deal of effect editing lately. I've even begin to work with 3ds max (previously milkshape) and it is taking some getting used to but I made some great progress in the few hours I had with it, of course if someone would like to help me learn it it would be greatly appreciated!

My dedication is currently to my teams current project Halo 2.5, so I can't dedicate fully to a one map currently.
