Giant Hunters?!
Sorry if I'm getting repetitive, but does this mean weapon damage isn't linked to collision? Like when you replace MC with a grunt, do you get head shots by shooting the grunt's head, or shooting where MC's head used to be? Or if you resized MC, would get still get headshots by shooting the resized head?
Also, you probably already figured it out, but the reason the hunters don't look right is because a character is made of a handful of models (I extraced MC, for example and he has seperate models for head, torso, arms, and legs) and even though you resize them, they still anchor to the same joints. Now if you could double it's actual proportions and collision map, and fix the weapon placement (don't think anyone has found a way to do that yet) then you'd have normal looking, but huge hunters.
Heh. Just pictured Coagulation with a handful of ginormous hunters milling about in the middle. Anybody wanna' try to get the rocket launcher now?

lol! that would be tight but way to much work. the plasma beam of course would need to be resized too
Oh and I'm not complaining about the way they look. Sure they look different, but they look cool!
Kinda like the weird rock monster from Galaxy Quest. To answer your question, I've only tried this with Hunters and thus far, when I shoot the orange patches, there's a spray of orange goo and eventually results in a very dead Hunter, which means the colision models must match

Um... if the collision matched, then you wouldn't be able to walk through them. So that would seem to mean that bullet hits aren't based on collision (which would be nice) or that your enlarged hunter is deformed in such a way that the orange spot is coincidently at very nearly the same location as it is on an unenlarged one. I might have to experiment with this one some time, 'cuz I'm interested in changing up character models, but as far as I know, the collision isn't able to be edited yet.
If you edit the model size, the collision will not go with the model. The collision will stay as a little normal sized hunter, while you have some monstrous huge thing walking around (that you can walk through)
Side note, if you modify the Master Cheif into a Grunt, the "headshot" location will be on the grunts head, not where the master cheif's used to be, if im not mistaken. I dont know ive never tried injecting a grunt, but logic is telling me that it will follow the grunt's rule.

I'd heard that, Fantom. But when you replace MC with a grunt, aren't you using the grunt's collision as well? I'm wondering what happens if you change the model without changing the collision; if you have to shoot where the old collision was or where the new model is.
On a side note, I experimented with MC's model and it got all messed up. I still got head shots on him by shooting the head, but it's unclear whether the model was messed up enough to be off from the collision. Like, if you screwed up the model and made his head lurch forward (which mine did a little), would you shoot where the head was, or where it was supposed to be? I'm gonna' experiment more, but thought I'd ask first.

When shooting a character if the bullet hits the collision there is a result
resizing the model does not change the collision
Orange blood still comes out of the orange parts because the bullet goes through the model and still hits the collision
If you resized it to be absolutly massive bullets would go right through most bits
As for the grunt im pretty sure the collision will stay as the MC's

I'll have to post some screenies of the Uber Hunters. It's hard to explain in words how it works. With Hunters you aren't generally too concerned about head shots anyway...it's the torso that counts. The orange is relatively in the same spot as before. Remember i told you they were deformed? I'm still allways able to bring them down in relatively the same amount of time as if they were normal sized, but it's usually easier when they're being distracted by one of UNSC's foolish marines
