Adding Water

Post by XxS3ph1rothxX »

So, I've followed the Tutorial on adding water with H2C and Guerilla two times now and both times when I'm done, and about to find the Z cord to put water on (lockout) , no Entity BSP viewer will open the BSP (negative number error?)

And also when I try to load the map in H2, It will freeze.

Any help is very appreciated, thank you.

hi, thanks for the reply

i may try that but if i can i'd like to add my own so i can set my own Z Coords.

To add more info to my post --

The Decompiling, Rebuilding etc. is going really fast, and i know most people have said it should take like 5 mins or so.

I do have a good system but maybe something is going wrong here.

Have you tried using DeToX's water tool? It's a great alternative to h2c and h2g.

most maps already have the water reflexive, all you'd need to do is copy all the values from another map i imagine...

Nah, because in that case, there wouldn't be a need for DeToX's tool. I can't remember what exactly is done when you use his tool.

I believe Detox's Water Tool is for maps WITH water already on the map. If you want to add water to a map with no water, then you need an H2 Core re-build.

Oh, oops. I haven't really used the tools so I don't know much about it, but that is what I thought it did.
