Hey my friend has new maps but i can't koin his game. I have a modded mainmenu in halo 2 so i put the new maps in the map folder. but sadly i still couldn't join.

If he isn't modding than your not going to be able to load them because his would be saved in the TDATA folder and yours are in the maps folder. I know how to make it so you can load them without modding the mainmenu but I don't think its allowed to be posted.

could it be cause i don't have the latest halo 2 update like 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.6?

can you load the maps in splitscreen?

does your friend have the same modded mainmenu or does he not mod?

In order to play maps that are in your map folder, you have to either add them to your mainmenu.map, or rename them to a map that is already referenced in your mainmenu.map. For example, rename mymod.map to zanzibar.map. Whomever you're playing must also have the same map and map name.

Also, did you sign the mods with a map resigner before uploading them to your Xbox?

the maps work on splitscreen but not when im playing with my friend on xbc......also my friend doesn't mod.. but he has the maps.

The new maps are completely unmodded.

Just copy the new maps and stick them back in the TDATA folder.

i tried that it didn't work it would make sense either if there was no folder to put them in

u really only have two options:
1) send him mainmenu patch so yall match
2) get the map pack which includes the dlc capability.
