How to get the maps onto your xbox and start playing

Im a complete n00b at this and was wondering how to get my maps and mods onto my modded xbox and working.

I dont want to mod or make maps or anything i just want the maps i download on my pc from here onto my xbox. It is modded but doesnt have a mod chip do you need one?Could i just put the maps on cd then move them onto the correct directory on the xbox?
