creatin bsp
creatin bsp
i wanna create my own custom bsp but i dont know how, i know its possible coz the swamp fox did it with deep darkness (i think) and glasswall

Could you give a link to this BSP?
I'm guessing he just added some machs, perhaps nulled out the BSP itself.
The only BSP editing you can do so far is adding terrain like rocks and trees through itmc spawning. (look up a tut on adding trees, and replace trees with any kind of rocks)
EDIT: just read this a minute after posting this lol

Deep Darkness and Glasswall were BSP conversions, not brand new BSPs.

I think Noobraska is a pretty cool state. eh grows corn and doesn't afraid of anythng.

i believe there is a way, after all, bungie did it.
in sparkedit, you can export the BSP as a wavefront obj file. this leads me to think that bungie uses collision models for their BSP. if there was some way to replace the BSP with your own obj, it would be extremely simple.
1-extract the BSP from a map(unless you want to start from scratch)
2-open the object file in Blender(free) or granny 3d(1000$) or bink video(3000$) or any modeling program, save the new obj file.
3-somehow, put the object file back into the game as the BSP.

Custom BSP in Halo 2 IS NOT POSSIBLE as of now.
Willtheoct, sparkedit is for HaloPC, not Halo2 xbox. Also, of course Bungie did it. Halo would not exist if they didn't. Lastly, we all know that there is a collision model.
Grimdoomer, yes, you would have to model and texture the map
, but that solves no problems. The problem is getting the bsp into Halo2.

I'm not exactly sure what I did, but after I did some crap in 3Ds max9 with coagulation, the map didn't even look like bunige made it. So though you cannot actually make a custom BSP yet ( or so we think) you can edit it to the point where it looks exactly like the bsp you want.

Not exactly the problem is getting collision and loading the map.antszy101 wrote:Custom BSP in Halo 2 IS NOT POSSIBLE as of now.
