Field Of View?
Field Of View?
What exactly is the field of view and how do i change it?
Field of View is how far you can see in all directions.
Higher FOV, the farther you can see to your left/right/below/above.
Most FPS games have a FOV of 90 degrees.
Halo 2 is a bit under that.
In real life, horizontal FOV is a bit more than 180 degrees and vertical about 90 iirc.
It's pretty annoying to play Halo2 mods with increased/decreased FOV - decreased, and it's as if you're playing with your guns zoomed in. Zoomed out, and it appears your gun is held several feet away from your player and often the gun will block the reticule, so you can't see what you're shooting.

Good explanation, how can you change it? As I'd also like to know.Agent ME wrote:Field of View is how far you can see in all directions.
