Humm... err no I do believe that is any longer a valid statement...
I don't have LIVE but I believe Microsoft has put in more advanced detection features that will ban you if you like... have anything modded/abnormal on your xbox. Now I could be very mistaken on this but I do not think so. Then again...
For example I think I would get banned for having a 250GB HDD

This question would be better on Xecuter's forums...
if he had a different HDD in and the EEPROM was already joined to a different HDD, the xbox would get a ban (there's a topic on this at xbox-scene's forums).
or if he had any Mimesis maps or modified DLC installed, he'd get a matchmaking ban.
If you don't do either of those two things, you can get on Live fine.
He would be able to go on Live, but...JacksonCougAr wrote:Humm... err no I do believe that is any longer a valid statement...

is your unleashX dashboard used when you use the mod chip or is it used when you disable the chip.
I'm asking if you have the microsoft dashboard when you disable the chip.

When you disable your modchip, it uses the Microsoft dashboad. When you enable the modchip, it uses whatever you have installed (in your case, UnleashX).
To disable your modchip temporarily, hold down the power button for 3 to 5 seconds when you turn on your xbox. Try it. To turn the chip back on, turn off your xbox, and then tap the power button.
