New map from scratch

I'm not sure if Live - Anywhere is one of the names being used. But read this:

Halo 2 Vista is supposed to be running it's online services via this. From the sounds of it. H2 Vista users will be able to play online WITH xbox users.

Now, if they are allowing maps created with the halo 2 vista editor to be played on a service which is shared with vista users and xbox users, it is not all that unrealistic to predict that they will create some sort of system to allow these maps to be played on the xbox version as well.

I in no way think they support "modding" in the sense of running unsigned code, altered maps, etc. If they did, Live would be in worse shape than it currently is.

However, they ARE releasing "Halo 2 Vista Editor." Halo 2 Vista WILL be playable on live. Hence, they ARE supporting user created content on Live.

Now, I was merely speculating. They could implement a system similar to mimesis through the xbox live marketplace that would allow the maps created with Halo 2 Vista Editor to be downloaded and used used on the xbox version of the game.
But then all those who only have xbox1..

When you say "Halo 2 Vista WILL be playable on live", do you mean with 'Live Anywhere'? Cause i didnt know they were implementing that.

yea I didnt hear anything about that and im about 100% sure if they were you wont be able to use the modded maps online

Halo 2 Vista will have a matchmaking service via Games For Windows Live. And If a user is hosting a custom map all other player on that server will download the map before the game starts

Ive read that on a couple trustworthy sites so it is confirmed

Well if in halo2 vista you can creat maps maybe the best bet would be to creat a program that converts it to a map file readable for the xbox.

I guess we will just have to wait for it to come out. Then we can deside what to do.

This is besides the point but, If us modders united instead of getting hostle with each other we could acomplish great things.
