Creatures (fish and birds)

Post by DemonicSandwich »

Creatures (fish and seagulls)
If I was to bring fish or bird creatures from campaign over to my map...

1) Would their movement function or be visible over system link?
Even if everyone has the map?

2) What [scnr] reflexives would I need to bring over for them to fully work over system link?

3) Would there be any issues with having them in my map? (effects, movements, etc.)

I never though ambient life would need to use AI.

1) Nope creature arnt synced over S/L

2) You would have to bring over the creatures spawning info reflex from the scnr tag. I never seen a plug in with this reflex mapped out. I'd upload u mine but I lost it. I believe the reflex is sum where after the fog pallette

3) Nope, I've never had anything weird happen from having creatures in a map.

Even if all xboxs have the same map with the ambient life in it, it still won't be seen over system link?

I used Entity 1.4 it has the reflex mapped out properly. Although it's an older build, it's been very helpful to me on many occations where other builds have failed. And yes, you must enable the AI with Yelo to make them spawn. And shade45 is right, it's right after the "fog pallete" within the [scnr] tag.

I've never tried spawning them over sys-link, but, if shade45 says they won't sync, I would take his word for it. ;)

And, uhm, FISH??? REALLY??? Where? I would love to see them. I only know of the "quadwings". If there are "fish" that would be soo 1337! :o
But, I know the "quadwings" can definatly be spawned in MP.

<3 shade45, he was my original inspiration to try to make these guys actually work. He was the first person that I know of who got them into MP.

Good luck man, I hope that helps.

Can they be seen over S/L when every one has the map, or only host sees it?
And yes my [scnr] does have the creature reflexive maped.
