Trouble with RTH.

Post by Fleabag77 »

I finally got Halo 2 to boot under the debug bios, and I can connect with Entity and take screenshots using XIG, but when I try syncing my map, nothing changes. I save, sign, and then sync, but everything stays the same. I've tried restarting the game, connecting with Entity during/before the game starts, but nothing is working. I'm running a 1.6 Xbox, but I don't think that's much of a problem, seeing as how I got Halo 2 to run on it (which, from what I understand, is the biggest problem).

how did you get halo 2 to load?

I connect while in the game and some things wont change, try changing the jump height because I know that works. You don't need to resign because its already loaded

Really? Even though the earlier versions have the feature in it?

I used a different (older) xbdm.dll.

I know, but I've been trying everything.

I just tried what you suggested.

-Loaded debug BIOS
-Loaded Halo 2
-Started System Link game on Zanzibar
-Opened Zanzibar in Entity (1.3 beta, I just downloaded it)
-Changed jump height, Saved, then Synced
-Jumped in game

Nothing changed.

EDIT: Sorry for the double post. I've been doing that alot lately. :?
EDIT2: I just tried changing the grenade velocity, and it worked! So I guess it's good that RTH is working, but bad that the only value that'll actually change is useless.

So is there any reason why certain things won't change? :(

EDIT: The changes I made to the jump height are suddenly working. This is really random.

EDIT2: I've got it working! (occasionally, anyway) I disconnect, make the changes, click save 10 times, sync 10 times, connect, save 10 times, sync 10 times, and it works! Not very...professional, but hey, it works. :)

i still think it is a NIC card thing and not xbox related. I say this because my xbox hasnt change but RTH has. My old computer had no problem with RTH at all, everything would sync first click. But with this computer and my friend's computer I have the same problem you do.

Hmm, perhaps it is my NIC card. I'm getting a new one soon, so we'll see what happens.

It might be a firewall issue, but that's unlikely. Worth a try though.
