Mach. question etc..

Post by *JP* »

Ok none of you here really know me, but this site has been alot of help to me ( modding wise ). My question, I've seen some mach. mods around here that are really bad a** and I want to know how to do that, I think I have everything down except how to get rid of or flatten the bsp I want the mach's. on, so it's not so laggy and also I want it to be unique (my own) ... Please help if you can, anyone it would be much appreciated!

Thanks

Um use entity's chunk cloner to clone machine palette chunks, then reference the mach you want to use. Then clone chunks in the machine placement and depending on what mach you want to spawn, put the chunk number of the machine referenced in in the meta editor(im doing this from memory), and set the spawn coordinates. Some people duplicate itmc's and reference a mach with them, then clone chunks in the netgame equipment and spawn machs that way, it works, but bungie does it that mach palette and placement way.

Hey bro I appreciate your help, that helped in a way, but what I was really needing to know is how to like remove the bsp or make it flat, even if there is way to null it out(the sbsp) that would help alott. If so could someone please explain how I would go about doing so. I know how to place things and replace itmc's and so forth. If you know what I'm talking about, your help would be appreciated alott.

To make the BSP invisible you need to null out all of the shaders in the sbsp tag.

Ok, will do, but how about completely removing it,as in everything including collision, because just nulling out the shaders wont remove it completely. How would I go about removing a bsp completely.
Oh and Thanks WastingBody

You wouldn't want to remove it... you would either not spawn, or you would spawn, die, and not spawn again.

Inject a tiny box for the coll, so there is a sbsp, but it is just a little box. Inject with entity**

Alright. Thanks for your responses...

So what if I completely removed it and spawned a mach. and moved all spawns around to where you would spawn on the piece of mach. and then could I start placing things from there? or would that even be possible?

BSP editor by high6 can flatten the bsp collision, but as long as you null all the shaders, and move the mach away from the main area you play on, you really don't need to do that.
