Questions about system linking...

Well me and my friend are thinking about having a system link party with halo 2 modded maps.

The thing that's different about ours however is that we both have modded xboxes, so we both have the same exact modded maps.

My questions are: Can we system link them without errors?
Do I need to use the Easy System Link Fix described here?

Just connect them with a router or a crossover cable and you should be just fine.
