I want to update my old ver. 0.1 plugins with your new ones you guys've been working on but don't know how.
I tried copieing and pasting the new code over the old and saving (with notepad) and then when I went to load the plugin it wouldn't show up. What am I doing wrong?
And the auto update won't work since the site's down and we havn't seen tjc2k4 in forever

That's strange, because copying and pasting is exactly what you need to do. You are talking about the ones over at the Tag Research Project, right? Well, I guess it's HaloPlugins now.
A few of those plugins are broken into two parts due to restrictions on post length by the forum. Did you make sure you had it all the way from beginning to end? You should see the word plugin in some <>'s (I think there's some other words in there too, but I didn't pay too much attention) on both ends of the plugin.

yeah, that's what I'm taliking about.. wait.. do you think it matters if it was in comic sans ms? That's the default font for my notepad. I'll try it in a regular font.
Yeah, there's the opening and closing tags for the plugin in everyone but the opening plugin tag (The one at the top) had lots of other stuff with it (it's not just <plugin> like class revision and author) but that's how it's supposed to be.

Yes, they do.
It's been a little over a week since I've updated any of mine. It's possible an error crept into one or two of them that would make them not work (there was just such an error in one of the earlier scnr ones but it's been fixed), but I doubt there'd be more than one or two with errors.
Try getting my effe plugin: I did very little changing to it (which means there's less that could go wrong), I've personally tested it and know it works, and it hasn't been edited since then. If that doesn't work then there's either something wrong with your methods, or your notepad prog, or your copy of Insolence.
Also, just to be sure: you saved it as whatever.ifp, right? Make sure you don't have your windows explorer set to hide known filetypes or anything cuz that could have you saving it as whatever.ifp.txt but it'd still look like whatever.ifp in the folder.

They are .ifps but they are set to open with notepad. Is that bad?
Ok, what is the latest version of insolence? I can't find a version anywhere o n mine but I haven't been able to figure out how to enable 'dev' mode. How do you do that? If I can't then that must mean I have an earlier version that needs updating.

insolence only has 1 version (V1) i think tou must be saving them as txt, you have to click "save" and not "save as..." cause save as will make it a txt file

nevermind about the dev mode stuff.. I got it figured out.
Anyway, I'm not saving it as text. I got one to work (like it loaded the plugin when I opened the tag) but there was an error in the plugin somehow. I couldn't find it but it said the </bitmask32> didn't agree with the <plugin class ect \> at the start so I'm guessing it didn't reconize the <bitmask32 ect \> opening tag but I couldn't see why it wouldn't when everything was there... oh well, off to try another one.
