Im been thinking of a new mod for terminal I recently saw a movie about terrrists taking hostages so I thought id be a sweet mod, I hope it isnt controversial since Im touching the terrorism theme. First Id make one base be the terrrist base and then a Military base. So the military is stopping terrists from doing "attacks that would affect the military" I wanted to change the train for something you can go in walking like that train in cairo. to connect the terminal with the base. Then the terrorists would have civilian warhog that "explode themselves after you leave"---Please if you feal some way this is wrong tell me. So terrorist could take control of the train and attack the military with the civilan war hogs. Also terrorists would have AK-47s, home mad bombs, and rocket propeled granades. Military would have naval air strike support, M-16's or M-14's, pistol and nades. Also normal warhogs.
Now I have many Q's
Active scenery: Can U make it stop for it be able to transport people, or make it go slower.
Also I was wondering if the train in cairo is an actuall model.
Then I was planning on Using greencs skin of terminal, ill ask him later for the right to use it. Also this guys F-16 I saw in the modeling forum I was wondering if you could set it as active scenery instead of the banshe.
So thats my mod also Im still trying to make my claymore bombs

I'm pretty sure you won't be able to make the train stop and go, but slowing it down might be a possibility. It's just a mach, right? I'm not sure about adding seats either. They'd probably make you indestructible while you were in them (if it's even possible) and you'd get killed by the guardians if you didn't get out of the train before it went off the map. The tram in cairo is a mach. You might be able to replace the train with it, but if you slowed it enough to be able to get in and out (like I said: no starting and stopping) it would just be a deathtrap: one rocket or nade would wipe out everybody in it.
Any model should work for active scenery. Just replace the rocket with it. It won't have real collision, but as fast as F-15's fly, who's going to have time to notice?
No idea if there's a way to do the car bomb thing. That would be cool, though.
You never got the claymore thing to work? Did you try my suggestion? Put in a grav lift or hvac underneath a ledge or something, set it to act like a door (using adi) and have a fusion core spawn there. When someone approaches, the grav lift activates and launches the fusion core into the ceiling: Kaboom! Or did you want claymores that you can plant during gameplay? I'll have to think about that. I didn't like the floating plasma 'nade idea someone had in that thread.
I don't know about the sensitivity of the topic or anything, but I, for one, would play the mod if it were fun and enough stuff were done to make it like a new map.

For the car bomb I thought Id just make the warhog shoot an invisible plasma nade and make it explode alot more, and cause more damage so it looks as a bomb exploded in the car.
Also, no I couldnt get my claoymore mind to work, I made it float in the air as a projectile but it didnt explode, you needed to hit it or shoot it for it to work, One thing I tried but couldnt do was remove its gravity so if it was shot out of a gun it would just float there.Altough I learned its pretty simple to do timed bombs out of nades.
Also for a game type I thought Id make a game type where you spawn vegtable people in some people with a bomb programed to explode in like 5 minutes so you needed to eliminate the terrorists to save the civilians.

Im still gonna do this but Ive encountered some probs, first off I cant model so that sucks but I can skin
So one of them was the suicide hog.
I was thinking of doing this: remove the turret. then put a gun in the hog. Then I will make it like an airstrike but ill put in z coordinate like a 1 then in x cordinate a 1 so it wont shoot far away but barely ontop of the hog. This seems to work but I dont know whether to move the x or the y coordinate.
My other one was to duplicate the nade proj and change its exploding time to zero so it just falls and EXPLODES!
Then Im going to make a custom game with this one. A bomb spawns with the(plasma nade) That will explode in 2 minutes. In order to stop it you must kill the terorists so you win if the bomb goes off you loose. I wanted to put MANY of them around the map.
Also what is the limit for the explosion so that it can kill people far far away, without getting the map to freeze.
So I really need help
