MP bsp map part conversion. **Video**

I am ok with hex, and i would like this chunk of the metropolis BSP into Multiplayer. Maybe split the two parts off into 2 diff levels. I think they are near perfect for MP playing.

From What i have gathered so far i will have to hex the map and all that which will be very time consuming. After that, i would have to import spawns and all that goodness, then i'm not sure how the bsp would work(if it's broken into diff bsp's or what) maybe put up walls by spawning stuff there or somehow deleteing part of the bsp that i do not want.

Idk, this may be way in over my head but any advice would be nice.

I would maybe like to convert this to a community mod and like post a sppf of all the things i fix each time i update it post it here in the dowloads so everyone can keep updating and not take up all of my or anyone else's time.

Use shade's tutorial, execpt extract that part of the bsp in that level and fix everything in it like he said.

how would i extract just a part of the bsp? is it broken down into multiple bsp's inside the level?

that would be fun to play the first bit you where in could be where the attackers spawn and the second bit is where the defenders spawn

Yes inside of the bsp tag it is broken down into like 4-5 things. In that there are usualy over 800 raws. That is just one tag in the sbsp. Also, maby you and I could work together because I am doing something similar.

Yeah. It's broken down into like 4 or 5 parts. For example, 03a_oldmombasa.map has 4 parts of bsp. scenarios\solo\03a_oldmombasa\earthcity_1, scenarios\solo\03a_oldmombasa\earthcity_2, scenarios\solo\03a_oldmombasa\earthcity_3, and scenarios\solo\03a_oldmombasa\earthcity_cine_intro_bsp. Extract the one you want to convert and get to work fixing everything. :D

but inside of the parts you listed are 800+ little bsp's. Infact coag has around 230 little bsp's.
