Mimesis Maps on the 360 possible?

Post by robort49240 »

I was just wondering if it would be a possibility, from what i understand, to get mimesis content onto the 360. Since my xbox 1 is at a friends, I cant try, but if somebody could try this, mabey it will work...

Take the mimesis content, (from what i understand, its saved in the E drive and used like DLC), put it on your computer, and transfer it to your 360 hd, using xplorer360.

If this has been done, sorry for wasting your time.

It has been done, sorry for wasting your time, if i could get a mod to delete this, that would be great.

Here is the link to the guy who did it first...

Oh, I'm sure it'll be attempted, but for now, nobody can run their own aps on a 360, so you'd have to run it on a pc and transfer it to the 360 with one of the file transferring things they've got. Then it would have to be able to fool the 360, or whatever game it was for, into thinking it was legit. Since, I assume you're talking about halo2, it could be possible, as long as the 360 doesn't have any extra checks for halo2 dlc. Or does H2 even run mimesis dlc with the chip turned off? Never tried it, personally.

Well, since it's been done, why don't you put a link or something? Honestly I don't think it'd be that difficult to do, but you may as well share the info anyway.

Im sorry, here's the link to the guy who did it, in the mimesis forums. Ill also put a link in the main post

http://projectmimesis.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=757

Also, doing this mod when this comes out wont void the warranty of your box, but of course, will break the eula. so, yea

Also, for all you naysayers, the reason this works is because it acts a DLC, which hasnt changed for original xbox games, and since mimesis acts as a dlc client, your xbox just says, "hey, these are new maps, i cant wait to play them," and then it does, so, there ya go!

no, just the hard drive, they made it pretty easy with it being simple sata

let me explain, using xplorer 360, you can acsess the hard drive, no homebrew for the 360, just taking dlc from one xbox and throwing it on another
people have used this to get their old xbox saves to the 360
