Grasshopper

So on the moon stronghold map, they had a plasma grenade that would launch you like a mile straight up, if you jumped over it as it exploded. And then there's the jetpack-sentinel beam which is a lot of fun.
So my idea is to have a weapon, called a grasshopper, that, instead of firing anything would launch you up and forward like maybe enough to get from the ground to on top of the base in zanzi... not that that's what I'd use it for... just an example. I know jump height could be edited or you could increase the force of melee to launch you, but the idea is you gain the advantage of the jump but have to sacrifice one of your weapons ('cuz you have to be armed with the grasshopper) for it. Makes it strategic and balanced.
So, first: is it possible? Second: how would I go about doing it? In moon stronghold I always had to jump before using the jetpack or it did nothing. I'd like to be able to use this from a standing position if possible. Also, I'd rather it "hop" you in the direction you're facing, than have to look at the ground to go up, like the jet pack.

i think all ud hav 2 do is increase the force of the damage effect and make damage 0

Right. And make it so it spawns behind you and points down, right? But can you make it so it will launch you off your feet, though? Not sure if I'd want to, 'cuz then any nearby teammates would get launched in all directions (and with my map idea that would be a bad bad thing

) but I'd like to know if it's possible anyway.

wat u could do is make it fire a burst long enough for wat u want
