Possible to add new maps to halo 2

im new to modding, but im gettin the hang of it. I had a question though. is it possible to copy coag for example, name it sidewinder....and change the size and the form of the map to match sidewinders? can i do that?

yes. you just need to edit mainmenu.map. add a level option while you're in there

just out of curiosity, have people remade sidewinder, cuz if not, im going to
and its not gonna have all crappy textures, im gonna like really work on it. ill make just like the rumors for halo 3 said it would like.Side winder is shaped like a U, but the sidewinder in Halo is gonna have four legs meaning it will be shaped like an X. So ill make it just like that, plus big too, pelican transports, teleports like old skool sidewinder...i can imagine it now....

for the pelican, they flip around when you put it in. so you might want to be careful.

what do you mean they flip around?banshees dont flip around, meaning there somethin from stopping from flipping, you just gotta find that thing for pelicans...

Good luck with creating actual walls/cave sides.... Most maps are just added stuff and sceneery. making a actual rom/canyon type thing is very rare.

As for the pelicans part of the thing is it's collision model is werid. some of it wil go right though the ground while the middle is the only thing solid. However the part that goes through the ground can still be effected by objects, such as crates, the bride on Delta Halo, and Maybe Containment's gate or Headlong's hanging road piece. So Where ever you make the Pelican Spawn I suggest putting something like those under it to serve as a landing pad.
