Well, after trying this out for myself I figured out that adding an Itmc tag wont let me load the map... And since the sword spawns differently in headlong, it must be some reflexative that tells it what position to spawn in, or the actual spawn yaw, pitch and roll... As for the tut... I think just move the swords spawn point to over the sea then swap the dependencie for the pelican, you might also want to null out the collision model and ajust the spawn points pitch,yaw and roll.
