You need .net framework 2.0 or higher. Google it.

No problem, Though I do recommend maybe a different dashboard, I found UnleashX to be my favorite. If you want something really fancy you should check out XBMC, It's like the all in one everything.

Umm to download the dashboards you need to get on xbins.
From there go to Xbox>Dashboards>UnleashX for that and XBox>Media Players>Xbmc for that.

On evolution you use a DVD-R, can you use that for Unleashed and XBMC? Im new at this.

Dvd-R? You mean a burnt disc. That depends all on your softmod. If It worked on EvoX then it will work on anything else.

ok, from what I have hear is, that you get the mod-chip(first thing), then you get EvolutionX(you download it then you burn it to a DVD-R because it works the best way with a DVD-R) Can I do that with the Unleashed or XBMC, becasue the link you sent me looks pretty complicated.

yes you can do it with unleashX or XBMC, but do you know hot to install a modchip, are you good with tecnical stuff if not then i would suggest a softmod.

If you are going to modify your xbox just to mod halo...then i'd suggest softmodding your xbox. Hardmodding it isn't worth the process unless you are going to use your xbox for other things as well. Halomods isn't necessarily ready to help people modify their xbox's so i'd suggest just like Hawaiian Modder that you go to xboxscene and ask/search around there.

Im going to get the solderless mod-chip. Also I have cracked my xbox open and located the spot for it. I have found out what version my xbox is(1.0). i don't want to sound like I know everything,because I don't, but to me the software part seems the hardest, not puting the mod-chip in. I do know putting the mod-chip in is the part were you are most likely to mess up your xbox. I'm not just doing this to do halomods(but it is a +) because I want to be able to get a larger hard drive and store games.

You don't need to softmod your box if you've already got a mod chip, also, guys I think he's talking about the Slayer's AutoInstaller that installs evox on a dvd-r. Somebody could help him set that up and then get it to unleashx if he wants, I think unleash is the best dashboard too.

i don't have the modchip yet im getting it soon. But yes i do need a way to install Evox on to a dcd-r. so that would help if someone could help with that.

a popular way to install evox is with softmod installer deluxe, boot it as a profile in one of the splintercell or mechasssault games.

So this slayers disc, can it be used to mod a unchipped box? cuz people are always asking me to mod their box and I got to set up AR an find mechassault.

It's made for hardmodded xbox's. I guess you could modify it to set up a bunch of stuff you would want for the softmods you're setting up, but you would have to softmod their xbox before they could read the disc anyway. Only reason for you to do it would be to have a disc with a bunch of programs on it to put on each box you mod.

could someone give me a link for EvolutionX thats safe and would work with a Version 1.0 xbox.it would be very helpful.
