Halo 2 staying at lobby and not joining games on xbox 360

I just got a 360 got my live logged on halo downloaded the new maps, go to join a game it joins a lobby, half way thru the lobby it leaves and wont join another one, if i restart the xbox i can get in a lobby again then it leaves and repeats the same... does anyone have any idea whats wrong im getting really pissed... ive used a friends 360 over here plenty of times before never having a problem i dont get it

are u on silver, or gold

if you made a new gamer tag then you have silver which will not let you on live...

if you transfered it from your origianl xbox then you have gold which works correctly...

if you think you tranfered the gamertag correctly just double check it.

if your not paying for live cuz you havent givien it your credit card or prepaid card number then you have silver

Actually, yesterday i was having the same problem. I think it was Bungie. I went on today, and it worked fine. Although, i did reset my modem. Try that.

Nope after about 2 hours an 4 different xbox live reps, no lie... i finally got it, and also found out the code to clear the 360's catch =p anyone, even tho not a thing i could see was wrong with the downloaded maps, they loaded and the maps didnt say corrupt or anything, they were messed up in some way, what you do is delete them all, then go to the memory option in the system blade, Highlight but dont click the HDD, press Y to go to HDD Options in this menu press x, x, left bump, right bump, x, x, to clear your cache, redownload and wala.
