I don't feel that there is a modding team war I just feel like the 7th sanctum was keeping people in the dark not sharing with the community especially how Unit and Poke didn't even need there re-builder which there isn't one just a tag adder to do the pelicans and phantoms just hex

And there tag adder didn't even work properly if You noticed several script references became screwed up after doing it I just with people would share how to do stuff like I know I don't have many ground-breaking mods but when I do if someone asks me how I did it I tell them instead of just typing lol "I'm not telling f***ing noob"

im sorry that i called the mproggy whores but they were being none like people who dont share they may respect them but they dont like them

i think that since the file forums are watched more than these that there should be a research forums on the file forums

mods if this is in a section that u think us not ocrrect please move it i want as many poeple to see this and express their opinions as possible

yeah... i dont really get this at all. I dont see anything wrong between teams at all... i talk to guys on the 7's all the time and im on chimera. I am saddened because all this happened and i dont reAlly understand.

I have a solution though. A team project. Duh! Like... make a halomods coag mod. I dunno... but it sounds like a good idea to me. ?

maybe 1 team could start it once there done pass it to the next team so on and so forth thats how we do mods at team chimera we start out with 1 person the do what they want then the next but we all also know what we want out of the entire mod

i agree with you 150% on that one there needs to be a sharing of ideas, if the program was mine i would release a map rebuilder whilst still in beta stages as i believe it would benefit the modding world, If any one asks for help, or how to do an effect i will answer

but a lot of teams these days rub it in your face and don't explain how, e.g. The 7th Sanctum (even though i was a part of them i disliked the way poke didn't release the builder (yet_even though it needs a bit of work)) The fantastic 6, swamp fox and forge show these awesome images and swamps mod then release a new update of ADI and say...sorry you can't have the builder

I mean grow up...the only way modding can move forward is if we share information, if we work as a community as well as a team.

But i guess like the world everyone is waiting for the first person to make a move take for example when poke and j-unit released the phantom and pelican, iron_forge had a go at the 7th sanctum for releasing something as simple as a vehicle injection i mean come on grow up it's a step forward, what forge are we supposed to keep it in the dark, Air strike wasn't exactly fantastic was it?

what they need to do is all the program designers get together and throw together a builder with map re-builder and a custom model injector and a bsp editor, and everyone should join in prometheus should be a public alpha/beta, so should xapian

but i guess it will never happen because no one wants anyone to nick there idea, or take credit cause they all want to be the ONE

come on tfav, i thought u knew better..... i help u out all the time and you say t7s is secretive? the problem with massive group efforts is that there are "too many chiefs and not enough indians".....theres just too many people to get in the way and i have no problem whatsoever sharing info or ideas, all u gotta do is ask. As for pokes program, it will be released whenever he feels like releasing it, its not up to anybody else to decide, its his app. Right now he has a couple of things to fix and when he thinks its all good im sure he will release it, youll just have to wait.

T7S shares alot of their info. They made a tutorial pack and have plugins they release constantly. BTW, I will be watching this topic closely to make sure it doesnt get out of hand.

Yeah, I hate it when people do things like this. But it does give you a certain feeling when you have something someone else doesn't (evil, but it happens).

Why not just write your own program and take all the credit and fame for making it?

i whish i new how to make a program but i understand that they dont release their apps because a lot of people on halomods flame you if your mod isint super cool and maby they want every one to like thier app. but i think we need a lot more tuts for halo2. because in halo 1 you could finde like 5 tuts on the same thing so if one was to hard u could finde a better one we need to help people more and rite more tuts i would but as you can probubly tell i cant spell to save my life and i dont know how to do any thing cool but if some one needs help i will try my best to help them and i would hope thewy would do the same for me

yeh ever since ive joined halo mods i thought some of the ppl were pretty petty with the way the help others i mean ive researched this forum alot and when i cant find what i need i ask. but what i hate is how i ask for a little help making the high councilor armor for the elite_mp and no one responds but then a few days later some one makes it and doesnt say how i mean if i ask a question and no one knows thats fine but when they do know then relase a mod with it and take credit for it when I asked that i hate,and it does a diservice to this awesome site and the community.
