My favourites:

Pistols At Dawn

FFA Slayer, 50 points to win. Bonus points on, starting weapon- magnum. Weapons on map set to pistols. Starting 'nades off and shields off. Overshield powerups off. Motion tracker off. Extra Damage optional. Vehicles off.

Best on Ivory Tower.

CS Halo

Assault. Single bomb, first to 4 rounds. One life per round, reset map off. No shields, no motion sensor, human weapons only on map. Start with magnum and no grenades (like how you have to buy these in CS). Extra damage optional but not recommended, also turn off Active Camo and Overshield powerups. Vehicles off.

Best played on Human maps.

Snipe Machine

Team or FFA Slayer. First to 50 kills. Start with Sniper and Beam rifle. Grenades off, all vehicles off, and weapons on map set to Sniping. No powerups, extra damage on, shields off (I hate shields  ). Motion sensor can be turned off but no point due to the fact you'll probably be sniped before you get within the 15m range of the motion sensor.

Best played on Containment, although is possible on Coag and Waterworks. But having played it on Containment with 2 friends, I've come to the conclusion this is where it's at its best.

Randomness

Team or FFA Slayer. Random start weapons, random vehicles (all of them). Basically set everything you can to random (although setting weapons on map to this is not recommended). 50 kills to win, shields optional. Bonus points on.

Playable on any map.

REAL war.

Any team game. CTF, Territories, Oddball, whatever.

No shields, extra damage optional but not recommended unless you're really good (or suicidal). All powerups off. Starting weapon set to Battle Rifle and magnum, weapons on map set to Human. 1 life per round, round length and score set according to gametype. Motion sensor off.

Best played on large team maps (I'm looking at you, Containment) and introduces the tense atmosphere of a real war where you won't be able to just respawn after you die. This gametype promotes stealth to survive longer, and requires good teamwork and coordination to win.

Add your best gametypes here :D

Your "random" this is also called Fiesta, and it's just in the Matchmaking games :P

Anyway, I like to mess around with stunts.

Stunts
Overshield, Sword Starting weapon, all vehicles(if possible) Rocket Launcher on map. Though this is only for sword glitching...

Other glitches are just normal gametypes with over shield.

I have this gametype called AssAssiN. It is really simple, the juggarnaut (however you spell it) has the overshield, and you have shotguns and swords. 1 round to 20 kills and the game is over. The reccomended level is Foundation. Well that is my gametype, try and spread it to everyone's friends, I want it to be like zombies.

Did you spell retarded like "retarted" on purpose or something? :?

Yeah. The whole point was for my name to be spelled wrong so I look Retarted.

Paintball: Starting weapons are a carbine and plasma pistol, weapons on map are covenant, and you have 3-5 lives, and no shields. Play like normal CTF game :D

Nice. I myself am no big fan of shields, then again I have been playing a shitload of CS: Source and Battlefield Vietnam lately. Me and my friends all basically have the same set of gametypes, if one of us comes up with a good one the rest of us make it on our Xboxes.

w00t! Can't wait for 360! (Yes I know that was off-topic :P)

Iron Elimination

A modified version of Elimination, where all players start with a plasma pistol, overshields, and extra damage. Plus, to make everyone's life a bit more frustrating, you will only get one chance to apply your boot to the enemy's sorry a$$. The last cyborg standing wins the game. Good on any Slayer map, with any amount of players (try it on Warlock 8) ).
