Hmm, yeah, i've beat the entire game on legendary, except Cairo Station. no matter what i do i can't get past the second pelican bay. i have been trying litterally for days, and it is making me crazy. I managed once to get past it, but the checkpoint failed to occur and the next time i died i was back. At one point i finally said "f*ck this" and skipped on to the nxt level, which i proceeded to blow through like nothing all the way up to Gravemind, that presented some troubles but i made it through and then blew through the rest of the game. but no matter what i do, i can't get past the second pelican bay. I have tried needlers, plasma rifles, plasma pistols, battle rifles, SMGs, i have tried giving the maarines all possible combinations of the bove weapons, but no matter what i do, i can't get through.

any suggestions? my current armament is 2 neelders (full ammo) and a plas rifle (95 precent charge) 4 plas nades, 1 frag, and plenty more plas-nades back in bay 1.

Mmmk, jump on the boxes the first chance you get and get up to where the plasma turrets are. Then use your battle rifle and nades to snipe... oh and you want to hide behind something...

i havent done it because im not patient enough but try shooting with battle rifle very slowly till all grunts are dead... then do elites

One burst to the face will kill a grunt, then get the elites into a cluster, throw a nade to take down their shields and snipe away

i finally made it.

i gave the needlers to the marines (and picked them back up 5 mins later from their corpses...)

then i sniped the grunts untill it was only elites

then i went topside and stuck 4 nades to 4 elites

went back to bay 1 for the other 4 nades

nade-sniped 4 more elites,

hosed them with needlers until empty

grabbed 2 SMGs and killed the last one with guns (grey armor, 2 pals rifles)

hopepd on a turret and hosed the two with swords





nut now i'm angry, i beat the whole game on legendary now, but the 'secret' multiplayer map refuses to unlock. So i went and beat the last level again, just to see if maybe you had to finish the last one AFTER the rest wree done, and no such luck.......

I would go on Live and download it, except i don't have live.......

You need to trigger a "helper" on the last level, or on any level for that matter. To do this you just keep screwing up on some little thing in the game, for example keep trying to dual wield a gun but never press Y eventually something will come across and say "Press Y to dual wield this weapon" then at that point you can either quit or play the entire level

no good, i was trying to get the scarab gun on metropolis a while ago, and the part in the tunnel with the banshee kept telling me to board banshee. I was doing it on easy, does that make a difference?

Mb, I got Foundation before I beat the game

i got foundation for beating easy

I know the feeling of being stuck on that level. All i did was stand at the entrance with a plasma pistol as one weapon and the battle rifle as the 2nd. I used the pistol to take out shield and BR to take out the elites. I remember when i was stuck but i used this method and i got past it in no time at all. Best of luck to ya.

ive tried to get the scarab gun the real way so many times but i ended up just swaping warthogs and banshees

PS: i dont think the difficulty makes a difference
