HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

Ok don't know if i should post this here, (mostly because they don't have a live/connect section here), but i got rid of xbox live, because i strongly don't believe in paying for gaming...other then for the initial price of the game. But i finally got my network up and running, so i decided i would try xbox connect (neXBC). But im running into problems...

Ok first i know my system is hooked up right (cable modem -> router -> PC -> Xbox). And it detects my xbox console, but when i try and load into halo 2 (via system link), it doesn't detect any games (when already clicked on a game). Xbox connect shows the list of games and i click on one (many different ones), and the list of players and connections come up but nothing on my tv screens.

What am i doing wrong? I searched there forums and people with the same problem nobody answered...so i was hoping someone could give me a step-by-step of playing halo 2 via neXBC. I tried the F.A.Q. and didn't get anywhere... please help, thanks

Well, don't use the neXBC Lan, it sucks. Hardly any servers.

Okay, go to a server you'd like to join, join it, and you should be in a chatroom, and it should also make the server display on the System Link screen.

i finally got in i see my problem...you have to monitor your inet box light in the upper left hand corner? because it wasn't on (flashing), i wasn't able to join but when its flashing i can get in, guessing thats my connection...thanks!
