Was toying around with the fighter bomber scenery file, swaped its model over with HHT after compiling it with tool and guerilla for the banshee and found somthing i havent noticed with it befeore. The thrusters work even though i just changed the model only no animation triggers or anything. Was kinda neat so i thought id put up some screens of it in action. Any ideas on why the model is so dark? i think it may be due to the fact since its a scenery object from cinematics i may have special cinematic lighting but its hard to make out any of the detail in its skin like you see in the installation screens.

I know its not new I wasnt saying it was :0 just neat is all, i just found that it would animate even though there is no tags imported at all with HaloCE without including the dependencies just a simple model swap nohting more, it dosent have em to add :0 so i dunno how it knows to do that given the animation trigger is that of the banshee still. Theres a tag refrence to the thruster in guerilla that sepcifes several values for thruster too so who knows. Yeah its flying, no collision model cept that of the banshee it replaced
Again, the thrusters are a dependency that is listed in the model and everything. And I'm pretty sure the dependencies here would be auto-imported, so-to-speak.
well lemme reiterate what i did to get this in and maybe you can help me understand this better.
1> under guerilla i added a scenery pallete and choose the fighterbomber.scenery fie
2> went to scenery header and setup the fighterbomber as a piece of scenery for my map.
3>compilied it and opened it up with HHT and choose my banshee i had added and just simply swapped just the model nothing else, i was expectin git just too look like the bomber not actually operate like one.
The thrusters are off when its un occupied but once you enter the banshee/bomber the engines fire up teh thrusters turn on automatically. I just dont get why it would animate off just a model and not nay other tags, like the fighterbombers vehicle meta(wich dosent exist since its scenery and not an actual file>. Whats nor eintersting is if you try this with the pelican tags provided with HaloCE it wont compile em and gives several erros of the tags its missing. I assume this is somehwat what you mean its auto programmed to do the thruster animation through the model itself independant of any other trigger, wich i havent noticed before till i asked this. But the compile tool hates the pelican to hell an dback :0 till its been foudn a way to get those tags it wants converted from the old version of halo to the new.
