HPC modder going over to HCE

So about a week ago I've started messing around with Halo Map Tools and Halo Hacker Tools. I wound up making a Blood Gulch varient with new weapon physics, modified projectiles, modified weapon triggers, modified damage, etc.

I've just started wanting to learn how to mod in Custom Edition, seeing as it's more popular with the modding community, and, well, it's so damn different.

CE/PC levels are incompatible, and apparently you can't open CE maps in HMT and HHT.

My first question is: how do I open maps like Blood Gulch and mess around with the variables like that again? Decrease the cone of fire, change the projectiles the weapon fires, decrease the damage, etc? I've tried learning how to use Sapien and Guerrilla whatnot, but everything seems so much different... unorganized. I can't just open a map and modify it anymore.

Better yet, would it be possible for me to convert my HPC modded map to CE?

My second question is: How do I take MP3s of songs and port them into HCE-compatible music? There are no tutorials out there that are still available. I've searched the forums, and nobody has any good tutorials on it at all. (My plan is to make a custom UI of Timberland with a few songs from the Halo 2 soundtrack, one being Forgotten, which was in the Halo 3 Beta UI).

Basically, I need some reference material that doesn't suck.
