Yet another sapien problem

Update: Something is screwed up aparrently. It's wierd cuz I uninstalled HEK and deleted my dat and tags folders, then reinstalled HEK. After that, I uninstalled Halo Custom Edition, made sure my maps folder was deleted, and reinstalled Halo ce. Then I extracted my new bloodgulch map in the maps folder, and tried to open it in sapien. Guess what? I got the EXACT same error. Something is badly messed up...

OLD PROBLEM:

When I open any scenario in sapien except tutorial it freezes for about 2 minutes then closes. When I look at the debug it says

Code: Select all

I've tried reinstalling, re-extracting my scenarios, reinstalling halo ce all togethor, and everything else I could.

But, for the record, I have been able to open sapien before (if you don't already know that)

p.s. On a related note, here's a glitch I get in tool when I try to make a map following the tutorial from the sticky in these forums EXACTLY.

the only way you can fix this by un-installing and then re-installing is delete your tags folder after un-installing. when you un-install HEK it doesnt delete custom tags. but if you dont wanna re-install and all that look in this topic...

Ya
If you have a dual core (which you probably do)
1) Right click your sapien shortcut
2) Go to compatibility
3) Click the box on run this program in compatability for so it is checked
4) Change it to Windows 98\Windows NT

No dual core

I don't have a dual core. Besides, if I did, then I couldn't have been able to open tutorial in the first place.

no he meant a duel core processer. and his error indicates something has a value of -1. most likely the tank's vehicle tag.

I don't think it's the tank tags, because I reinstalled everything and re-extracted the maps, which re-installs all tags.

its keeps all custom tags that have been edited in some sort of way so after un-installing, delete your tags folder and then install again.
