help with movie makeing

for some reason my dev cam wont work i put in camera_control 1 and i cant controll camera can someone give me a detailed guide on how to make camera for dev work
I believe you type
debug_camera_save
and then
debug_camera_load
and then to return back to the normal view you do
camera_control 0
and yes i know were to get it.
