in my map, when i compiled it, the sky wont show. I named the material "+sky" and i put it on the top and side parts of the level. It just wont show up. Also the shaders are all the same even though the bitmaps aren't all the same in the shaders.
if you know whats wrong with the sky, post here.

in MAX u need to make a face on your map model which has a material name of +sky. make sure u have put it on the face the that face has a different ID than the others. then u do tool structure levels command then u add the sky in Gurilla. open up your mapname.scenario then in Skies u click Add then click the ... and locatate your .sky then u drop the drop down list and click multiplayer then save then do the lightmaps.
p.s. if that didnt work then u might have something wrong with your .sky.

nvm that. i fixed the error. right under the place where you press "flip" there is the smoothing levels or whatever, and well i didnt have them on 2. Now i can see the sky and all the materials are there.SPARTAN04 wrote:alright, i found what the error is. its the materials in the .scenario_structure_bsp of my map. the materials arent all there and there not textured in the right places of the map.

P.S. does anyone know how to make a flat plane of water on a level without getting any open edge errors?
EDIT: does anyone have a model of the covenant cruiser from the Truth and Reconciliation level? and if so, can you private message me it?
for the water...i sort of do...just the plane part.
basically all you do is create a 128x128 or 256x256 water-based bitmap, as in something that looks like water, save it somewhere where you can remember. Then go to 3ds max and create a plane around the area for the water. Then name it water!$. Go to the materials editior (M key) and select another material and call it water!$. assuming you know how to get your bitmap, name the map properties water!$ as well. Then ask someone else for help cuz thats all i know
