skybox not flipping

Why is it when i convert the skybox and then highlight all the faces and hit flip it just turn a dark red in 3ds max 9. The box dosnt actulay flip it just turns a dark red. no idea what is rong.

Heres one thing when your fliping it make sure that you have the perspective box (outer layer thing) and the box inside selected i can see in that pic that the outer leyer thing is selected on the one on top of the perspesctive if that dont work i dont know what to tell you

Do you mean keep the perspective box high lighted in yellow, if so dam.

to fix this just make your skybox like normal flip it like normal then go to edit>object properties and when that opens go to the bottom left and check backface Cull in display properties.

Because it shows the planes that you are viewing from the inside as a darker red. Since you can no longer see the closer ones, you see the ones on the other side, so it appears to be turning into a darker red. I know this explanation is kinda confusing, but I don't know how else to say it.

It worked... lol. The dark red is just showing the "shadow"
