Okay, so I want to make a Halo CE Map. I have HEK and CE installed, but have a few problems.
1. It looks really hard and confusing... What is the easiest tutorial out there?
2. I don't have/Can't afford Photoshop or 3dsmax... Do I really need them or can I make a map without them? ARe there similar tools I can find for free?

2.) Theres a program called
GIMP,And some people say its the free twin version of photoshop. And there also a program called
corel photopaint i think.Or you can use paint and convert what u make in paint using
ConvIm
Google these ill get the links later, sorry dood
1.) Blender,Maya,Gmax,Milkshape,And more but i believe they only have 30 day trials../Hey but with all those trials u get 4 months worth hehe..then i just reformat my pc and get the trials again.

Wow, i watched 2 of those... This is SO confusing..
A text tutorial would be easier to follow along with though
EDIT: Is there any way to do this without the 3dsmax or photoshop step?

You can use gmax (which is free), it can be a pain though.
