ok i know theres prolly topics reguarding this but i looked and i didnt see that really is what im trying to do here. ok heres my problem...

everyone knows you can use hmt to open up halo pc to extract and save the .dds files to mod them in a paint program or whatever.

ok heres my question. can you extract the .dds files out of a halo ce map? i dont want to edit the map, make it mine or anything like that. one example of what i want to do is take a .dds skin for MC in a CE map and use it in my PC halo. Also is they a tutorial on making ppf's like for hud conversions.

so to make this really simple is..
can i take a .dds file out of a CE map and place it in a PC map? and if so how or programs needed.

now i know theres prolly a simple answer for this and people are reading this going omg what a dumb girl but hey im trying to learn to and just find more fun in halo.

also a long time ago a admin here help me with something and we talked on msn and i showed him my trix flag and smiley nades.. if your out there hey its alexis stuck on another dumb question.. lmao..

well, all this time, nobody wants to answer because you are being stupid and impatient... so here is my answer. I think that there is a map converter out there somewhere, then convert to a halo pc map then open it with hmt. and i believe you know the rest. :) i dont know whether im right, but if i am cool!

Exactly. The maps are protected by copyright law, so contact the mapmaker or the person who made the skin to see if you can use it.
