ok well all you are going to get is 3ds max 6, unless you pirate it(dont do it, it is illegal)

Well they always only give out the latest versions of 3ds max.

Why don't you just get the 3DS Max 8 trial? And just so you know in many cases (not this one) you can find older trials by going to ftp."productdeveloper'sname".com, I checked and neither the Autodesk or Discreet sites have anything on their servers, but for example you can get older photoshop trials from ftp.adobe.com

dude the 8 doesnt work i meen i put the plugin in but it says error and same with 7 and 3 and 2 and 1

you have to reinstall directX 9 for max 8 to work. dont know why, but you do. you cant get max 6 or 7 anymore unless you still hae teh setup or you get it from someone else.

As long as you use the Max 6 plugin it should work. Works for me.

did you put the .dll's in the windows\system 32 folder? and the blitzkrieg in the plugings?

p.s. anyone know what blitzkrieg means:?: its not a hard word...
