Would it be possible for gearbox or a moder to create an update for halo CE to upgrade halos engine to accomidate vehical hijacking and double weopon pick up etc. like in halo 2 so we can mod maps better?

Im sure it is either being tried or been tried because that is not an original idea but some enlightenment on the subject would be nice.

Not possible. Any update that Gearbox would make would have to be OK'd by Bungie and Micro$oft, and you know how they are.

And if they did do that, they would also have to update the Halo editing kit to include whatever versions of Guerilla or Sapien they use to make Halo 2.

In that case, what you're asking for is for Halo 2 to be ported over to the PC. Not happening.

100% agreed. its impossible to do with halos engine and source code. to make this happen you would have to impliment Halo 2's engine and source code. and theres no way in hell it being converted to pc
