CS design update

the goal was this:

what i can offer for now is this:

remaking a map that was never released and where all you have is a movie.. is one of the hardest things i had to do... after so many tries i keep getting closer and closer.. but it's never as good...

since i needed help.. and since bungie never released this map... i felt like they ow us!!

having seen the new maps that came out, i saw potential for that help.. i dissected the map files looking for textures and models... hence the giant cov turret u see in the pic... and the ever famous medical tent for example.. the same went for some buildings in this version...

me and scott made many buildings... amazing buildings... but i needed more.. bungie was the source.. the hardest part was that most of the buidlings needed to be remade, reconstructed, edited.. so i started working... and working.. and working... while the map kept getting better and bigger... i didn't care i wanted the city to be what i imagined and more...

this is CityScape... i believe i kept the best parts of the map.. plz remember that there is a lot of work put into this... most of the content was made out of a plane or a box or a loft and hours of work... but if i had kept to only that... the map would of taken forever and time is a conveniance i don't have

i am currently not finished yet... i still have to close the level by adding a gigantic wall all arround and texturing like a mad man... in this part i could use help....

update:

for questions i gathered this:
thats way to big for a mp map, you would never find anyone, lag like hell... sp or mp?

with some professional help.. loading points, portals for not having to render the whole thing at once, it should fix most lag problems.. it's kinda why the buildings are so big... limits what you see

there will be a mp version.. if it doesn't play like it should... i can always make it smaller, it's easier when u have more, to cut.. delete what u don't need...

now on it being too big, it's meant mainly for sp version... imagine brutes grunts and a sh*t load more... whatever we can put in there to improve gameplay

this part requires all of your help.. if you made something or can make something for an sp level you should help... meaning show what you can do.. impress people.. that's the way to go

knave's h2 pelican is being fixed.. i still have to fix the turret firing and i will need to test that with someone since u can only see it when someone is driving. but at least peli stands now thx to comparing tiamats peli tags... thx tiamat for releasing those .. turns out it was the physics tag... so simple...



dominator was making another version but he couldn't finish it... time consuming and his work really impressed me... all i had seen was one image a long time ago...

anyways i asked him for whatever help he can give.. and if it worx out that would get me that much closer to the vid

also i couldn't have gotten this far without scott's help.. (neonvix)(cky2k).. he made loads of work too...

I love it; can't wait to see it ingame! Just make sure that it gets textured nicely, cause a bad texture can ruin an awesome model.
